Congratulations on opening a Bank of America Health Account and taking the first step toward saving for health care expenses. For easy account management and to help you maximize the benefits of your health account, please complete the checklist below.

Log in to the member website at myhealth.bankofamerica.com or through your employer’s benefit site.

Manage your account, view your contributions and payment history, and securely store your receipts online.

  • Go to the profile tab to verify your email, mailing address and phone number so we can reach you if needed. If your account is through your employer, updates to your mailing address may need to be made through your benefits department.
  • Set up your direct deposit information. After you’ve linked your bank account, you’ll receive distributions electronically without the hassle of paper checks, and you also can easily make contributions to your HSA.
  • Set up your investment account preferences so when you reach count balance of $1,000 you can begin investing.1
  • Designate your beneficiaries and dependents.
  • Request a debit card for your dependents. You’ll need to have their dates of birth and social security numbers handy.
  • Complete your Authorization Form to allow others to contact Customer Care or make transactions on your account.
  • Update your notification preferences. Tell us how you’d prefer to receive your account information. You can also sign up for text alerts for some notifications.
  • Visit the Learn tab to view all the detailed information you need to manage your account.

  • Your debit card will be coming in the mail soon! Be sure to activate the card so you can start using it immediately.

FYI When opening a new account with us, we are required by law to validate your identification. We may send you a request for additional information such as a copy of your driver’s license, passport or social security card. It’s important that you provide the requested information so you can begin accessing the funds in your account.

Save your receipts! The IRS may request validation of any HSA withdrawals you have made. Be sure that all receipts show date of service, type of qualified expense and the cost of the product(s) or service(s)4.

FYI Amounts in a health account may not carry over year after year and any unused balance remaining in the account at the end of the plan year may be forfeited
